I love her glasses on her head and her hand is up like "Wow". She was being dramatic with Emma looking at the Thomas toys.

Tonight I cleaned out some kitchen cabinets and found an old paci of Lexi's. She used to love that thing. She did her "crying baby" pose for the picture.

And these are my cabinets after I reorganized. No idea what I'll put there in the place of...

...all the medicine I bought boxes for and put in the bathroom.

Here they are in the yard. Unfortunately I can't get a good picture at night when the candles are lit.

His latest project was our metal table we had put outside. We bought the coffee table for $10 at a store when we first got married. It's a metal table that had a scratch. We just put a magazine over it and called it done. Over the years it's been moved around quite a bit, staying in the playroom most recently. Scott put it outside last week and then very randomly decided to put a checkerboard on it. I walked out to find him drawing lines and putting down tape. I actually think it was inspired by the tables in Cracker Barrel.

I thought it was awfully cute albeit a bit crafty for a handy man's afternoon project.

She wanted to go tonight but it was getting too late. So I had to take matters into my own hands. And for those that didn't know my first job was at an ice cream parlor and I was known as the banana split queen. Not that you can tell from this picture...the whip cream got a little excited tonight.

  • FIL ended up having a catheter put in yesterday.  Some good news is the damage from his heart attack a few years back is gone and his heart looks strong.
  • Scott got sick last night.  He had a fever and nausea.  He still went into work at 4:30 this morning . He refuses to call in sick ever.  I would have called in last night and been in bed all day.  I'm a model employee like that.
  • I still have one more present I'd like to get.  And I need more wrapping paper.  I'm going to have to brave the stores at some point today.
  • The kids are loving their Christmas break.  They've been getting up early, playing on their own and then spending all day playing well together.  It's only day 2 but so far so good.
  • I did a cleanse day yesterday.  Woke up this morning down a pound (since I've gained a few with all these parites) and wasn't famished so I decided to do another one today.  I'm supposed to do two a month but back to back days are not required. I figured I better get it in before Christmas.  For some reason, I'm running out of the drink fast so I'm not sure I'll have enough to make it all day.  If that's the case, I'll just eat a salad tonight.
  • I won movie tickets today!  I got eight tickets good for two at our local theater to any of these films:  Seven Pounds, Yes Man, The Tale of Despereaux,  Bedtime Stories, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Valkyrie,  The Spirit, Marley and Me. Anyone have any recommendations?  The funny thing is Heather won them too.    We figure anyone that enters is winning or we are really lucky!  And I entered Scott as well so we will be OVERFLOWING with movie tickets if he wins too.

It's cupcakes left over from the other day. Now twice-baked. Scott isn't here but I know they were in the oven because he couldn't stand looking at the pan sitting on the counter. Also because I found the pumpkin pie in the microwave. What's really funny is the whole time I'm browning the meat I keep thinking how sweet it smells!
